Baptism
Also called Holy Baptism.
Washing with water in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Lutherans teach that God acts in baptism rather than the person being baptized, which is why infants are baptized and why the assurance it gives does not depend on remembering it or feeling anything.
