Lay it down
Some things are easier to carry once they are written down and set beside something steady. Write what’s on you tonight. Nobody reads it but you.
Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.
Matthew 11:28 · NRSV
You laid this down before
Laid down
It’s here, under his words, for as long as you want it there. What next?
A prayer with your words in it
Lord Jesus, you said, “Come to me, all you that are weary.” I bring you this: I can’t fix it tonight. Hold it, and hold me. When I pick it up again, take it again.
Add your own “Amen” when you’re ready.
It’s gone from here.
If it comes back, so can you. The words above don’t change.
If what you’re carrying is heavier than a worry, you don’t have to carry it alone: help now, any hour, including 988 in the United States.
