Gloria in Excelsis

“Glory to God in the highest.” The ancient hymn of praise that begins with the angels' words at Christ's birth (Luke 2:14) and expands them into a full song of adoration. Omitted in Advent and Lent, which is part of how those seasons feel different.

In Worship — The liturgy, the daily office, and the furniture of a service.
